Who we are

We are a documentary film team located in the Bay Area, CA, dedicated to exploring stories of cultural behavior, identity, aesthetics, and the human experience.

Founded by filmmaker and choreographer Heather Shaw, Moonshot Creative Studios, LLC, is a platform for sharing unique, resonant stories. We believe art is a powerful tool for connection and reflection, and we seek to tell stories that elevate this contemplative quality in impactful ways.

Heather’s prior film, Telephone, co-directed with Krishna Washburn, brings awareness to the important art form of audio description for dance, which allows blind and visually impaired people to be included fully in the joy of artistic expression. The film has been featured in the New York Times and screened across the country, including Lincoln Center, NYU, Mill Valley Film Festival, and more.
